Infinix Note 30 Pro Review

Infinix Note 30 Pro Review
This time we are reviewing a very important smartphone. Perhaps one of the most important mid-range smartphones of 2023, Infinix Note 30 Pro. The phone is priced at ৳27,999 for the 8/256 GB in Bangladeshi market. So, let’s dive into its features.

Design

The very first thing and one of the most noteworthy for many users, the design will catch your attention. We have th so-called Magic Black and Variable Gold colors. The black color has a very fine elegant texture on the back panel. It looks subtle and premium. It definitely looks posh and you can almost think of a flagship device for a moment. It’s also made of glass so, it also feels premium. The gold color on the other hand, comes with that new kind of color changing tchnology. It’s for those who prefer it to be more glossy and shiney. We personally prefer the black color more as this kind of color changing shiney looks are not that uncommon anymore in 2023. But both colors did a good finish.

The front side is almost bezel-less and comes with a center punch-hole deisgn. There is no Gorilla Glass protection which is perhaps the biggest drawback of this phone. But you can buy an extra screen protector at a relativly low price if the phone is very dear to you and you have risk of dropping the phone. There is IP53 dust and splash-resistance which is a fine plus point. Its 8.2 mm thin and weighs 203 grams. It’s not very thin or very light. It’s more medium and balanced.

Display

There is a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. The peak brightness is 900 nits and the max. refresh rate is 120Hz. There is no lackings in the display. You couldn’t ask for any better quality than this. The size is good, the colors look crisp and vibrant. Overall, very satisfactory.

Camera

The back camera comes with a triple 108+2+2 MP setup. There is no ultrawide lens. An 8 MP ultrawide lens could be a good win but it’s not that much of a deal breaker. Yes, the resolution is 108 MP but take it easy. The photo quality is good. You have fine color reproduction although, you’ll see a slight boost in the green and red tone to make it more vibrant which diesn’t look that bad. The details and the focus are nice but do not expect some kind of flagship killer camera. Yes, the 108 MP mode will give you a bit more details but its still pretty much a mid-range camera. There is a super night mode option for better lighting in night time conditions. The video has up to 2K recording option. There is stabilization for 1080p Full HD recording which is great. But the quality is also mid-range level.

The 32 MP front camera captures fine shots as well. However, the soft-tone is visible which we didn’t like. The brightness, the colors, details, background blur etc. were quite satisfactory but the soft tone looks a bit cheap. Still a considerable mid-range camera.

Battery

The 5000 mAh battery comes with a few charging options. Firstly we have a 68W fast charger. It may take about 45 minutes to fully charge the phone from 0%. Then we have a 15W wireless charger included in the box for free which will usually cost you an additional ৳2,000. A big thanks to Infinix for their generousity and just to have this flagship-level feature in a mid-range phone is greatly appreciated. If you are travelling or outside on the go and need to charge your phone, this is a smooth option. It takes between 2 hours to 2 hours 30 minutes to charge the phone with the 15W wireless charger.

There is also a reverse wireless charging option. Which means you can charge other phones with wireless charging option by using Infinix Note 30 Pro as a charger to transfer its power to another phone. There is also a Bypass charging system. This is useful if you are charging the phone while gaming for example. The phone will be charged till a specific level, then the rest charge will flow to the motherboard. It protects the battery from being damaged as well as it also prevents excessive heat generation.

Performance

The phone is offering a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset with 8 GB RAM. This is one of the best mid-range chipsets out there and you can’t complain about it. There is also virtual RAM option to extend the RAM further. On the software section, there is Infinix XOS 13 UI on top of Android 13. This is not the most lightweight and optimized UI out there. But because of the chipset, size of the RAM, 120Hz refresh rate and fast UFS 2.2 chipset, you will not feel any kind of lag and hopefully Infinxi will optimize their UI further.

Audio

Another thing that may please you quite much is the audio quality of this gadget. There is dual speakers and 24-bit/192kHz audio, tuned by JBL. It gets a very good mark in terms of sound quality.

Storage, Connectivity and Others

Infinix Note 30 Pro packs 256 GB internal storage and a dedicated MicroSD slot. We have all expcted connectivity features including FM Radio, USB Type-C and NFC. In the sensors section, Gyroscope and E-Compass are there. The fingerprint sensor is side-mounted.
