Infinix Hot 30 Review

Infinix Hot 30 Review
Now we are reviewing the Infinix Hot 30 smartphone 4/128 GB model which is priced at ৳14,999 in Bangladesh. It is one of the most popular under 15K budget smartphones since the time of its release. So let us have a more in-depth look at this device.

Design and Build

Design is one of the most important factors, especially for Bangladeshi consumers. It can be that a phone has great features but the design isn’t that appealing, a consumer may decline it. Here, in this case, Infinix keeps that in mind and comes with a fabulous design. We have a center punch-hole front camera design and a very gorgeous-looking color-shifting back panel. It comes in a few different colors but the Racing Black and Sonic White colors particularly caught our attention. The black one looks more dark and elegant with a very subtle color shifting whereas the white one is a little more shiny and charismatic but also stands out in its own way.

The body is fully made of polycarbonate and the back panel is a fingerprint magnet. So, it’s regular in terms of material. There is no display protection or dust and splash resistance which we do not expect around this price anyway. It is just 8.4 mm thin and weighs 196 grams which is a little on the heavier side but the weight distribution is good.

Display

We are dealing with a large 6.78-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with 396 ppi. This is a great deal since you’ll usually get an HD+ display in under 15K smartphone. On top of that, there is a 90Hz refresh rate. The display is a great deal altogether. You may have a little issue with the touch response even though there is a 90Hz refresh rate. But this is because of the software and has nothing to do with the 90Hz refresh rate.

Camera

There is a 50 MP main back camera and we have checked out the samples from three different reviewers. Generally, it captures good shots and you should be satisfied. But there is a bit of a color boost or over-saturation and you may also see a lack of details. But the dynamic range is good and overall you should have clear shots in the daylight. The nighttime shots are of poor quality but there is a dedicated night mode which gives a much better result. There is up to 2K video recording without any stabilization and the quality is satisfactory. There are features such as slow mo. and time-lapse which are quite useful.

The case of the 8 MP selfie cam is somewhat similar to the back cam. The dynamic range looks good with clear-looking shots. But the colors are not very vibrant. You may see a bit of soft tone and lack of details but it still captures adequate shots and we find the results to be acceptable.

Battery and Performance

There is a 5000 mAh battery with a stunning 33W charger which can charge the phone from 0-100% in about one hour and fifteen minutes. This is a great feature on a low-budget phone like this.

We have Android 13 but there are a lot of pre-installed apps from Infinix which doesn’t look that appealing. The chipset is a MediaTek Helio G88 which is basically the maximum chipset at the lowest price and Infinix sure deserves a fine complement for it. However, the RAM is only 4 GB and so, therefore, it is not very efficient for high multitasking or higher gaming load. We would suggest at least 6 GB RAM for a smoother performance and 8 GB would be ideal. Now, there is a virtual RAM option that will let you expand the RAM for up to 8 GB. It is a good additional support but it will not perform as fine as an 8 GB built-in RAM. There is also an 8 GB version of this phone but it is priced much higher and we do not recommend it as you will get better phones for that price.

Connectivity and Others

There is dual SIM, USB Type-C, FM Radio, NFC and all other necessary connectivity features. There is a 128 GB eMMC 5.1 storage and a dedicated MicroSD slot. The fingerprint sensor is side-mounted. There is stereo speakers and 24-bit/192kHz audio for better-quality sound.

Overall, the Infinix Hot 30 is a pretty decent and recommendable phone under 15K price. We only wished the RAM to be slightly higher. If it had 8 GB RAM and let’s say an HD+ display it would be a great choice from our perspective.
